Day-by-Day Vietnam & Cambodia Itinerary
Day 1 – Arrival in Hanoi
Land at Noi Bai Airport and transfer to your hotel to begin your private Vietnam adventure.
Day 2 – Hanoi → Ha Long Bay
Visit Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum, his former residences, and the Temple of Literature—Vietnam’s first university. Tour Hoa Lo Prison (the “Hanoi Hilton”), then travel to UNESCO-listed Ha Long Bay and board your cruise. Sail among limestone karsts, enjoy lunch on deck, and hike to a viewpoint for panoramic bay views.
Day 3 – Ha Long Bay Cruise → Hanoi → Overnight Train to Lao Cai
Morning cruise to stunning caves and lagoons, then return to Hanoi for an old-quarter cyclo tour. Dinner, then board the night train to Lao Cai.
Day 4 – Lao Cai → Sapa
Arrive early and transfer to Sapa. Trek the terraced valley of Lao Chai & Ta Van, home to Black H’mong and Giay communities. Enjoy local culture, vivid textiles, and breathtaking mountain landscapes. Prepare for Shabbat.
Day 5 – Sapa
Explore Ham Rong Mountain, orchid gardens, and attend a cultural performance before visiting Sapa town.
Day 6 – Sapa → Bac Ha Market → Hanoi
Travel to the famous Bac Ha Sunday Market, rich in color, handicrafts, and tribal culture. Return to Hanoi.
Day 7 – Hanoi → Da Nang → Hoi An
Visit the Ethnology Museum, then fly south to Da Nang and transfer to charming Hoi An.
Day 8 – UNESCO Ancient Hoi An & My Son Sanctuary
Morning visit to My Son Sanctuary. Afternoon walking tour of Ancient Hoi An—Japanese Covered Bridge, Phuc Kien Pagoda, traditional silk and Ao Dai shops. Evening lantern boat cruise.
Day 9 – Hoi An → Da Nang → Ho Chi Minh City
Visit Cham Museum and Marble Mountain before flying to Ho Chi Minh City (Saigon). Evening water puppet performance.
Day 10 – Mekong Delta Excursion
Full-day trip to Vinh Long, including boat tour and Cai Be floating market. Return to Ho Chi Minh City.
Day 11 – Cu Chi Tunnels & Tay Ninh Cao Dai Temple
Explore the legendary Cu Chi tunnel network—250 km of underground wartime passages. Continue to the colorful Cao Dai Temple, a fusion of global faiths. Return and prepare for Shabbat.
Day 12 – Ho Chi Minh City Walking Tour
Shabbat walking tour: Reunification Palace, Notre Dame Cathedral, and the historic Post Office.
Day 13 – Ho Chi Minh → Siem Reap, Cambodia
Fly to Siem Reap. Afternoon visits to Angkor Wat, Bakheng Temple sunset view, and surrounding historical structures.
Day 14 – Angkor Thom + Tonle Sap Lake Cruise
Explore Angkor Thom’s South Gate, Bayon Temple, Elephant Terrace, & Terrace of the Leper King. Afternoon floating village tour on Tonle Sap Lake + traditional Khmer foot massage.
Day 15 – Banteay Srei + Local Markets → Departure
Morning visit to Banteay Srei & Banteay Samre. Free time at Artisans d’Angkor & local markets. Dinner, then airport transfer.
